There are many things to learn about indigo dye, even for people with experience.
We can also explain how all our natural dyes are made, as well as other things that can’t be conveyed via our website or in our product descriptions – things like water management and how wastewater can be good for the environment.
Anyone can join our experiences – from individuals to entire families. Great for children!
We have been welcoming more groups recently – for parties of 6 or more, please consult with us in advance.

藍染 ～indigo dyeing~
無農薬栽培の藍葉を醗酵させ蒅（スクモ）に加工しノンケミカルで昔ながらの灰汁醗酵建てで染料を作っています。
種蒔きから染料になるまでの工程もお話しさせて頂きます。
Our indigo dye is traditionally made. It begins with fermented indigo leaves (sukumo), which are grown naturally and pesticide free. We then further put the leaves through a lye fermentation with no added chemicals.
We are happy to share the process of how we make our dyes with you, from sowing the seeds to the final product.

Bring Your Own Items
We can also give new life to old clothes! From clothes sleeping in the back of your closet to ones much-loved but stained or dirtied, almost anything can be reborn with indigo dye.

最近はマスク一枚の持ち込み希望の連絡をもらいます。マスクは大体一枚10ｇ前後になります。単純計算で￥300ですが私達スタッフの指導も入りますので最低料金を￥2，000で設定してます。御理解の程宜しくお願い致します。

Recently, we have received requests to dye small items, like single face masks, that weigh roughly 10 grams. Although the price based on weight would be ￥300, we have set the minimum charge for Bring Your Own items at ￥2,000 as our staff provides guidance and instruction throughout your experience. We appreciate your understanding.

アカネ染、マリーゴールド染 1g/￥40
精練→染色→灰汁抜き→仕上げ まで行います。
油シミなどの物はうまく染まらない可能性がありますので御相談下さい。

Our process involves scouring, then dyeing, then a lye removal before being completed.
Please consult with us regarding items with oil stains, as the dye may not fully cover such spots.
